About MVBC

Mohawk Valley BassCasters or MVBC is a member of the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society and a member of the B.A.S.S. Nation. Founded in 1978, we are currently over 20 members strong and are very active in the State of Connecticut B.A.S.S. Nation. We meet monthly at the Bristol Polish Club in Bristol, Connecticut. MVBC is a diverse and enthusiastic bass fishing club with a membership that is active both within the sport of bass fishing and in the community. As a club we fish eight regular club tournaments. The member with the most consistent finishes, equaling the least amount of points through these tournaments, is deemed that years MVBC Angler of the Year.

In addition to bass fishing many club members volunteer their time to the different committees in the Connecticut Bass Nation (CBN). As a club, we host the pairings meeting, that takes place just prior to the State Team Tournament in the Fall. We also actively participate in a holiday season Toys for Tots drive run by MVBC in association with the US Marine Corps Reserves and the CBN. Members also assist the New England Paralyzed Veterans Association (NEPVA) with their bass fishing tournaments designed to get paralyzed veterans out on the water and catching fish!

Year after year MVBC is recognized for what we do on and off the water. Whether it is Chapter of the Year, Person of the Year, Conservation Award and many more. We are definitely more than your basic fishing club.
